Graham Cole founded Graham Cole/Performance in 2021 with the mission of producing memorable, ethical, and affordable performances at the intersection of dance and theatre. We prioritize fair artist pay, working conditions, and hiring practices to create constructive performance opportunities for artists. Graham Cole/Performance is committed to giving back to its Portland, OR neighbors by providing low-cost, easily accessible tickets to its shows.
Why Give?
Your donation enables us to remain true to our values. Most importantly, this includes:
Paying artists a competitive fee for their services. The craft that our collaborators spend decades honing has value, in addition to their time spent and (in many cases) physical risk taken bringing our art to the stage.
Producing strong, memorable performances. Our performances require months of rehearsal, unique designs, and safe venues before they are ready for an audience. Each of these necessities is a significant expense, which is never fully covered by ticket sales.
Subsidizing low-cost performance tickets. The transcendent experience of live performance should be enjoyed by everyone, not just the well-off. While we work continuously to remove access barriers, we remain committed to making at least one performance of each show pay-what-you-wish.

$2 - The hosting and processing fees we pay to facilitate each full-price performance ticket
$20 - The average discount for each of our subsidized performance tickets
$100 - Our cost to hold a single rehearsal
$300 - Our cost to hold a single performance
